1. Who these terms are with

These Terms of Service are between you and Dmytro Shabanov, the developer and operator of Screen Folders. By downloading, installing, or using Screen Folders, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. The service

Screen Folders is a macOS utility that displays folders you choose on your desktop and lets you work with their contents through normal Finder behavior. The website provides product information, downloads, support information, and links to payment or distribution services.

3. License to use the app

Subject to these terms and any applicable payment terms, Dmytro Shabanov grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Screen Folders on Macs you own or control. A lifetime purchase grants ongoing access to the purchased edition, subject to these terms and applicable law.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of Screen Folders except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

4. Trial and purchases

Screen Folders may provide a one-time 14-day trial beginning on the first launch. The trial is not a subscription and does not require a payment method. After the trial ends, lifetime access may be purchased through the available channel.

Direct purchases are processed through Paddle, which acts as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for that transaction. App Store purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and payment systems. See the Refund Policy for more information.

5. Your files and permissions

You decide which folders Screen Folders can access using macOS controls. You are responsible for the folders and files you select, for maintaining backups, and for checking file actions before confirming them. Screen Folders does not replace Finder and does not promise to recover files lost through user or system actions.

6. Acceptable use

You must use Screen Folders and this website lawfully and must not interfere with their operation, attempt to bypass purchase or access controls, distribute malicious code, infringe another person's rights, or use the service to violate applicable laws.

7. Ownership

Dmytro Shabanov and its licensors retain all rights in Screen Folders, the website, branding, and related materials that are not expressly granted to you. Finder, macOS, Apple, and other third-party names and services belong to their respective owners.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app or website. We may also update these terms when the service, payment flow, or legal requirements change. The version posted on this page applies from its effective date; material changes will be identified by a new effective date.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Screen Folders and this website are provided as available and without a promise that they will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Mac configuration. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dmytro Shabanov will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of Screen Folders or this website. Our total liability for a claim relating to a paid purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Ending access

You may stop using Screen Folders at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, engage in fraud or unlawful activity, or if continued operation is no longer reasonably possible. Ending access does not limit rights or obligations that arose before termination.

12. Governing law and contact
